• Phytochemical and Pharmacognostical studies of Medicinal Plants.
• Isolation of bioactive plant constituents using advanced chromatographic techniques (separation on VLC, and column chromatography using different adsorbent as RP, Sephadex, Cellulose, or Polyamide and separation using PC) and elucidation of their structure using different chemical and spectral methods (UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, H,H-COSY, HMQC, EI-MS, ESI-MS).
• Bioguided fractionation of plant extract that prove promising antidiabetic, anti-tumor or hepatoprotective activities, isolation of active constituent(s) from the bioactive fraction(s), and testing the biological activities of isolates.
